The workshop and talk will be run in a Covid-19 secure manner in line with Government guidelines. Places are limited and must be booked in advance. If lockdown continues these events will move on-line.
Neon Dance will deliver a workshop and talk open to dancers and non-dancers inspired by new work in the making of its new work Prehension Blooms. During the workshops you will help design robots that respond to movement and learn more about the team of collaborators behind this exciting new production.
Neon Dance, an internationally renowned organisation, creates dance works exploring technology and design with the body as the central tenet. It’s new work in progress Prehension Blooms explores social connectivity and collaboration by integrating bio-inspired robotics.
The workshop will be led by Hemma Philamore (University of Bristol’s Robotics Lab) and choreographer Adrienne Hart. Professor Marina Jirotka and Dr Helena Webb (Human Centered Computing at Oxford University) will join for the talk.
